Within the “commons” or the “pluriverse,” lie a multitude of possibilities of learning and Being that are diminished or even extinguished by the globalization of “professional” curricula and pedagogies. It is yet another illustration of the industrial mode of production that flattens and decimates the pluriverse – whether in ways called capitalist, socialist or others.
Illich’s conceptualization of “proportionality” offers a departure from modes of thought and action that are hyper-standardizing, even as they are destructive.
