This study examined relationships among trait mindfulness, resilience, emotional exhaustion, and turnover intention among secondary school physical education teachers. Data were collected through a cross-sectional, online survey completed by 246 physical educators in the United States and analyzed using robust maximum likelihood structural equation modeling. The results indicated that the hypothesized model was a good fit for the data. Mindfulness was positively associated with resilience. Resilience was directly and negatively associated with emotional exhaustion and emotional exhaustion fully mediated the relationship between resilience and turnover intention. The influence of resilience on turnover intention was fully mediated through emotional exhaustion. These findings highlight the importance of trait mindfulness and resilience in wellbeing among physical educators.
