Student affairs research and practice has witnessed considerable growth in its inclusion of LGBTQ+ identities over the last 20 years. Although LGBTQ+ scholarship has increased, colleges and universities continue to remain unwelcoming environments for LGBTQ+ communities, providing continued challenges for practitioners in the field. This study will analyze the representation of LGBTQ+ scholarship in student affairs practitioner journals over the last 20 years. Relying on qualitative content analysis, this study seeks to address scholarly trends and considerations for future practitioner research and practice.
