Community of Inquiry in Online Graduate Statistics Courses

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify how instructors use the Community of Inquiry framework to develop and strengthen an online learning community in graduate statistics courses. In addition, the researchers are interested in strategies instructors use to support student engagement. The study was conducted by surveying 43 instructors who teach online graduate statistics courses. Results included strategies used to increase engagement and to enhance community.
