Impact and Implications

• In Event: Transformative Justice: A Movement to Build Black Cities and Schools

Abstract

As local scholar activists, we were invited into the work to conduct a transformative mixed-method study on the impact points of the BCLC. Our research process was threefold. First, we examined the ways in which new policies and procedures are impacting African American child deaths. Second, we identified the challenges and promising practices of the implementation. Third, we presented findings to impact the implementation and planning of the BCLC strategies in other jurisdictions and communities.
