Session Type: Symposium
With the heterogeneity of immigrant and refugee newcomers in the U.S. and Europe, many researchers of different locations are engaged in research partnerships to offer meaningful recommendations that inform decision-making about practice and policies. With their commitment to equitable education for immigrant and refugee newcomers, the presenters in this interactive symposium address how researchers across different trajectories work as advocates and allies through community partnerships with various stakeholders for equitable education. Each presenter offers a case study of collaboration in a particular educational setting, sharing insights, strategies, and challenges that are relevant to research collaborations in other settings as well.
