Session Type: Symposium
This session brings together five research projects on culturally inclusive and contextually appropriate practices in early childhood education. It will interrogate content, instructional strategies, and experiences within diverse early childhood contexts. It will illuminate the culturally responsive practices in early childhood across a range of contexts, including early childhood education and early childhood teacher education. In doing so it will shed light on the experiences of children, families and pre-service/ in-service teachers within those settings. The common strands across these five research projects will serve to inform dialogue with participants to broaden knowledge and provide multiple perspectives on culturally responsive pedagogies in early childhood education.
