Session Summary

The Curriculum and Its Discourse: Language, Difference, and Power

Sun, April 19, 12:25 to 1:55pm, Virtual Room

Session Type: Roundtable Session

Abstract

The session aims to present the discursive practices on curriculum, starting from the statements of the academic-scientific community manifested in national and international journals, linked to the two most important associations of the curricular field at national and international level, namely: the articles published in the Transnational Curriculum Inquiry (TCI) journal, linked to the International Association for the Advancement of Curriculum Studies (IAACS); and the articles annually published in the dossiers by the Brazilian Association of Curriculum (ABdC) in the following journals: Currículo sem Fronteiras, e-Curriculum and Teias. In this way, the session will focus on the discourse expressed by the academic-scientific community from 2012 to 2016, aiming to deepen the discussion about the curricular field, in a transnational perspective.
