Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
Interrogating and responding to the harms of marginality and oppression is important and challenging work. There must also be spaces where we can (re)imagine the possibilities for a just world. This panel brings together scholar-activists who engage in teaching and teacher education centering the rich histories, cultures, languages, and epistemologies of communities of Color. The panelists will engage in a dialogue regarding approaches to reclaiming and remembering Indigenous, Black and people of Color knowledge systems in teaching and teacher education through models of community organizing, teacher development, curriculum, pedagogy, and praxis.
