Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
This session brings together teacher leaders who organize and lead from a variety of spaces, including social media, the US border, the picket lines and schools. Their work often involves collaboration with families, students, and community members in an effort to explicitly promote social justice, human dignity, and cultural pride. These teacher leader activists, who bring their expertise from the classroom and their involvement in the community, will share their experiences and insights and engage us in critical dialogue about new possibilities for educational practices and research that actually listen to the lives of teachers and their shared commitments to justice, equity, and inclusion.
