Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
This session demystifies the process of integrating equity-focused theoretical frameworks with traditional theoretical frameworks. With an increased focus on engaging in research that accounts for contextual factors that impact participant experience, there is a need to utilize a variety of theories to produce equitable work. In an effort to support graduate students and seasoned scholars alike, this session gathers a panel of researchers to help make transparent the process of theory integration for the sake of equity. Our panel of researchers will provide examples from their own work, showcasing how they were able to incorporate a variety of theoretical perspectives. The session will be workshop oriented, therefore our panel will be provided time to engage with the attendees and their questions.
