Abstract

This panel discusses the challenges of teaching and researching difficult topics in the history of American education. Leading scholars and historians of education who have written on, or wrestled with, some of the most difficult developments in the American educational past will speak about both the need to teach and research these difficult topics and offer best practices to the audience.
