The panel will explore innovative attempts they have undertaken in San Francisco to center marginalized communities at all points along the life course (Chandler, 2014). Moving away from the programmatic, issue-specific, and even single-population focus of much of the early efforts to address opportunity gaps, these visionary leaders expound on the possibilities for diverse mobility pathways through their innovative use of relationships, mentoring, philanthropic support and analytic tools for collective impact. Through reflections on lessons learned by overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities, these leaders in education, politics, and tech will explore collaborative approaches they've taken to establish community-informed policies and practices designed to advance social justice and equity in San Francisco and beyond. A reception will follow.
