Our study calls attention to a case of Latina mujeres, madres, and activists who organized and advocated for humanizing and liberatory spaces for themselves, their children, and the broader Latinx immigrant community. Deconstructing Latina immigrant mothers’ organizing via muxerista pedagogy allowed us to highlight their organizing as muxerista praxis. We argue that it is a result of the muxerista love and activism that the women cultivated transformational and liberatory resistance (Delgado-Bernal, 1998).
