Greater evidence is needed about innovative and sustainable models for serving diverse transfer students in high demand disciplines such as computing and engineering (C&E). In this study, we examined the outcomes of a pre- and post-transfer survey focused on the academic and social integration of students from community colleges studying C&E at a university. Additionally, we investigated the impact of two interventions for supporting the success of new transfer students in these majors. Preliminary results from quantitative and qualitative data suggest that our interventions are operating as intended and reaching students who may need them most. This study signals potential benefits of integrated interventions before and beyond the point of transfer to increase opportunities for student success.
