This conference invites researchers to reengage with key organisational stakeholders in a variety of contexts. In the case of this research this means engaging with curriculum leaders from within a federated educational system. The implementation of the new Australian Curriculum in Health and Physical Education (ACHPE) forms the policy enactment backdrop for this paper that conducts an analysis of the policy work of nine (n=9) policy actors working at the curriculum reform interface as national and jurisdictional curriculum leaders. Specifically, the paper focuses on their interpretation and enactment of a key innovative feature of this curriculum, namely the Five Propositions purported to centralise the curriculum as well as inform pedagogies for it. This paper reports on these findings.
