This qualitative study explored professional and personal experiences related to the psychological well-being of Korean international graduate students. The 15 participants were asked about their overall changing experiences as Korean international graduate students studying at U.S. higher education institutions and adjusting to U.S. culture and society during one year interval. Six common themes related to the psychological well-being of participants were identified: language proficiency, academic competence, career development, social support, health issues, and religiosity. Practical suggestions for Korean international graduate students and implications for student affairs professionals, higher education administrators, and faculty who work with this population are discussed.
