Abstract

This paper seeks to extend the notions of blue mind and blue spaces to include narrative inquiry.Towards these ends, this paper uses narrative inquiry to explore blue spaces such as swimming lessons, dolphin tours, rain-puddles beach cleanups, bird-baths, and river crossings as embodied narratives of blue locales. Then the paper identifies and explores waves of embodied “blue” elements and affects at play in these experiences in relation to the undertow of contemporary currents of narrative inquiry
and then dives deep to ask what it might mean to embody narrative inquiry as a blue epistemological space
