Session Type: Symposium
This symposium is centered on the experiences of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Latinx college athletes, whose experiences are underrepresented in the scholarly literature. In this session, both qualitative and quantitative studies will be discussed with the goal for the attendees to learn about the challenges faced by Latinx collegiate athletes and to identify the experiences and practices that are related to academic success, retention and degree attainment. Importantly, the panel will explore experiences of Latinx athletes across all three NCAA divisions to educate those academic and athletic stakeholders who support this population.
