Session Type: Symposium
This session presents multiple perspectives on keeping education viable during the pandemic and how assessment fits into that equation. This session will showcase Kentucky, a recognized leader in responding to the COVID crisis. Representatives at the state, district, and school levels will describe their response to the crisis, discuss how assessment has played a role and the role it will continue to play, and describe how the system has prioritized the safety, health, and education of students. Panelists will discuss how the pandemic has differentially impacted special populations of students and discuss the impact of the “digital divide.” Finally, they will describe how they plan to move forward with educational assessment for 2020-21 and beyond.
