Session Type: Symposium
The purpose of this symposium is to present research conducted with teachers, administrators and students in 48 high schools (27 treatment and 21 control schools in 10 states) engaged in a College Readiness Program (CRP) aimed at expanding access to challenging coursework, improving Advanced Placement (AP) course access and equity, improving STEM teaching, fostering student interest in math and science, and promote college aspirations. The session includes presentations on studies of second and third-year program implementation and impact (both short and longer term) on students who are traditionally underserved and farthest from STEM educational opportunities.
