Session Type: Symposium
This session presents the collective efforts of researchers, educators, and families to co-generate innovative approaches related to 1) developing student-centered interactive pedagogies for remote/hybrid learning, 2) supporting the mental health of educators and families, and 3) supporting learning pods across diverse families. During this session, research members and community partners will present how they organized into multiple working groups, co-designed approaches that emerged from these groups, and implemented those approaches in the 2020-2021 school year. As citizen-scholars, we hope to draw on our interdisciplinary expertise, longstanding partnerships with local schools, and the deep knowledge of our partners to co-generate meaningful change for families and students, while offering important insights about how these processes can be applied in other contexts.
