Session 1: On Becoming a Critical Scholar

In a fireside discussion, the panelist from various institutions (teaching, research extensive) and those who are clinical faculty and those who are tenure track will discuss making research actionable, translating research for the public, what are the roots of their scholarship and create conversation around what are the roots of your scholarship and lastly socialization to be real and not chasing fluff and fame.

Session 2: The Changing Landscape of Colleges/Schools of Education: Conversations Between Deans and Early Career Scholars

In a fireside discussion, the Deans from four Universities (from the Flagship of the State to Teaching Universities) will discuss the changing landscape that new early career scholars will face as they begin their careers. During this session the Deans will share these challenges both the good and the bad with tips and strategies as early career scholars make their trajectory towards tenure.
