The Accreditation, Assessment, and Program Evaluation in Educator Preparation Special Interest Group (AAPE SIG) will host a panel discussion with representatives of the two national accreditors of educator preparation programs: (1) the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP), and (2) the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Representatives from educator preparation programs (EPPs) that recently completed accreditation review with CAEP and AAQEP will also be included in the panel. AAQEP and CAEP representatives will discuss their approaches and panelists from EPPs will be asked about faculty engagement, approaches to data collection, features that were more and less useful, how the process informed program improvement, suggestions for stakeholders preparing for accreditation reviews, and other topics.
