Session Type: Pre-Conference Mentoring Session
: AERA Division J is pleased to announce the Mid-Career Faculty Workshop will be offered as part of the 2021 pre-conference. Faculty from all Divisions are welcome and encouraged to join. Regardless of your career goals (e.g., advancement to full, pursuit of an administrative career path), we seek to build a community of mid-career faculty and to offer guidance to help you advance along your journey. Session topics will help you craft career goals and associated action steps; manage various aspects of your roles and responsibilities, equip you with tools and resources to advance in your career; and support peer-learning with other workshop attendees.
While the mid-career stage can be challenging, our goal is to rewrite the midcareer narrative to instead focus on the opportunities and agency we can assume in advancing our career journey while helping others to do the same.
