Education quality lays the foundation for a nation’s competitiveness and prosperity. One of the key factors affecting the quality of education is the quality of teachers. However, it is impossible for preservice teacher education to prepare teachers for addressing all the problems they encountered in workplace throughout their careers. Teachers’ continuing professional development (CPD) therefore plays a crucial role in promoting teacher quality, which has led to a significant rise in the number of CPD research. The large amount of CPD literature results in the need of knowledge aggregation. The study aims to provide a systematic review of the research literature concerning the impacts of teachers’ CPD on student learning in Taiwan.
