Sun, April 11, 2:30 to 3:30pm EDT (2:30 to 3:30pm EDT), SIG Sessions, SIG-Technology as an Agent of Change in Teaching and Learning Roundtable Sessions

Abstract

This study explored faculty members’ views regarding the factors that facilitate the integration of technology into their instruction. The study was conducted in Qatar and comprised 14 participants from different schools and departments at a public midsized postsecondary institution. Davis’s technology acceptance model guided this study and served as a lens through which data were collected and analyzed. Salient findings that were derived from this study including sufficient Arabic content and technological resources, adequate technology skills, and self-confidence could be of primary importance to faculty trying to use technology for teaching and learning purposes.
