Universities can utilize feminist mentoring to support women and minoritized women students, faculty, and staff to develop as professionals and, eventually, help to dismantle systems of gender and racial oppression. Unfortunately, scholars are not unanimous on what constitutes a feminist mentoring relationship. Aligned with the AERA 2021 conference theme’s focus on “Accepting Educational Responsibility”, the current paper will attempt to define feminist mentoring in terms of crucial mentoring approaches, structure, and activities through a review of the current literature. Thus, the paper offers insights on how to foster a developmental relationship that is feminist.
