Many higher education institutions with histories of slavery are grappling with the idea of reparations to help amend their respective racist violent histories. This study examines the various forms of higher education reparations institutions are proposing/recommending and explores institutional characteristics and state contexts that predict institutional engagement in reparations. Implications of the findings for the higher education reparations movement are discussed.
