Presenters in this session will discuss their work using data contained in state and district-level IEP data systems to construct alternative measures of student outcomes that can be linked with data on special education resources and spending. Specifically, the first presenter will present findings from her study in Maryland on developing new measures of “educational benefit” and how these measures relate to resources allocated on student with disabilities’ IEPs.
