Join us to discuss how to convey methodological aspects of your conference proposals for the mixed methods research audience! The goal of this session is to guide graduate students, scholars, and researchers across disciplines to embrace their contribution to the mixed methods research community and advances in the methodology of mixed methods research through conference proposals. This session builds upon the relevant literature and best practices for mixed methods research (e.g., Fetters & Freshwater, 2015; Fetters & Molina-Azorín, 2019a, 2019b). This session will give participants the opportunity to share proposal ideas within small groups guided by mixed methods scholars to help further hone their methodological focus. Although designed specifically with AERA’s Mixed Methods Research SIG in mind, the recommendations presented in this session may also be relevant to other methodologically focused conference proposals. Everyone interested in mixed methods research is welcome to attend the session!
