There is a need to find more expansive ways to “researching” immigrant families and communities. Facilitating spaces and opportunities for multiple modalities enables the design of studies that amplify and value the participants’ voice and ideas by honoring and centering their experiences. The purpose of this qualitative exploratory case study is to examine the experiences of shared community walks with a research participant, who is a Korean immigrant mother, raising her son to be bilingual/bicultural in a Korean enclave in the city of New York.
