A traditional definition of validity, coupled with the word holistic, has converged into a well-known concept in qualitative research for many years, called holistic validity. Though holistic validity provides food for thought in a pragmatic way (a mix of transactional validity and transformational one), there is a need to problematize its epistemology for postqualitative/ posthumanist research. The purpose of this paper is to unpack holistic validity and reconfigure it into a postqualitative/posthuman process of holistic validation using the metaphor of jazz scatting. The holistic, jazz scatting, validation in postfoundational research urges us to reflexively interrogate the gap between what is and what might be in order to affirm many truths within the context of its own inquiry.
