This self-study details the journeys to online teaching taken by three mid-career teacher educators at different institutions across the United States. Each of us has previously resisted online teaching, but the global pandemic left us no choice but to intentionally design courses that support our students in online settings. After an initial analysis of our teaching philosophies, we are redesigning our fall classes with a focus on our shared teaching commitments: 1) A strong learning community; 2) Inquiry into practice; and, 3) Equity and social justice. Data collection includes teaching journals, weekly Zoom meetings, digital records of teaching practice, and student surveys. Working as co-critical friends, we seek to align our teaching philosophies and identities with strong online pedagogical practices.
