Teacher Performance Assessments

• In Event: Evaluating and Improving Teacher Preparation Programs

Abstract

This presentation will provide a review of the current context of teacher performance assessments, including the controversies around performance assessment and teacher preparation. The paper will address both local and university or program generated performance assessment as well as external evaluations. It will examine the uses of performance assessments for support and evaluation of candidates as well as uses to enable continuous improvement of programs and candidates.
