This study utilized Photovoice to capture the experiences of educational professionals who work with students with disabilities in the PK-12 classroom. Educators took photos in response to questions related to the challenges and joys of educating students with disabilities. They also took photos representing their typical workday and what they wish society knew about students with disabilities. Interviews with participants uncovered the following themes: environment matters; slow but steady; administration situation; and see me/hear me. The research also revealed that all participants felt great meaning in their chosen work and were vocal advocates for students with disabilities.
