Abstract

Touro University California (TUC) has partnered with Kaiser Permanente Vallejo to offer a pilot mentoring program for the local Vallejo High School entitled the PATHS (Pathway for Achievement of Total Health in Students). Touro University California will be providing the initial evaluation of this pilot in hopes of garnering research and grant funding for expansion. The pilot consists of 15 identified and willing Vallejo High School students, and 15 employee volunteer mentors from Touro University California and Kaiser Permanente Vallejo respectively. The goals of this project are to increase college and career readiness in addition to providing personal support for the children involved in the study.
