Abstract

Fieldwork experiences are valuable to leadership development, but the standards for fieldwork vary widely from program to program. This paper draws upon interviews with 19 university-based school leadership preparation program directors across Tennessee to better understand how they approach designing the fieldwork components for their programs and barriers they face in implementing the fieldwork components with fidelity and quality.
