Session Type: Symposium
Creativity is considered an important component in gifted identification. Thus, psychometrically and methodologically sound creativity assessments are needed to better identify gifted students. In this symposium, researchers present findings from innovative methodological approaches for creativity assessments. Specifically, researchers in this session will present evidence from newly developed creativity assessments, text-mining methods for scoring creativity assessments, procedural methods for creativity assessment administration, and innovative approaches for psychometric evaluation of creativity assessments. Together, the presentations in this symposium will highlight current issues in creativity assessment and future recommendations for the field.
