Session Type: Symposium
Despite the increased number of Latina/o students enrolling and completing college, the number of Latinas/os completing doctoral degrees has remained low compared to other groups. The purpose of this session is to highlight the experiences of Latinas doctoral students as they enroll and complete their doctoral programs. The papers in this session detail the experiences of Latinas before, during, and after earning a doctoral degree and provide vital information that can help fill the void in literature around the Latina graduate school to faculty pipeline. The authors will engage the audience in a discussion of strategies to support Latinas from entry into graduate school through the faculty tenure pipeline.
