Session Type: Symposium
An effective Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) can increase the quality of school leadership, an important contributor to student achievement. Not all ILTs succeed, however, and this suggests the need for better information and support. This symposium will tell the story of the ILT Dashboard, a data-driven, versatile tool used among school districts in a federally funded whole school improvement project. The symposium will highlight two areas critical to ILT success: 1) How to monitor ILT progress, and 2) How to develop understanding of the conditions associated with ILT success. This story will be told from multiple perspectives - from program evaluator to district central office. Together, the stories illuminate the connection between better information and better implementation.
