Session Type: Symposium
A gender equity gap exists for male students of color in higher education and with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, these inequities have seemingly only been exacerbated. While much of the literature regarding male students of color has focused on Black and Latino men, this symposium features four papers individually focused on Black, Latino, Asian, and Native American males in higher education to provide a more critical and holistic conversation about the current status of male students of color in higher education. The panel of diverse scholars will present innovative research to help guide the development of institutional policy, programming, and practices to improve the educational outcomes of male students of color.
