Session Type: Symposium
The symposium aims at discussing the university as a social space where social change is produced and where thus not only an equitable higher education system but also an equitable society is at stake. The session will give empirical evidence on how universities as organizations deal with significant dimensions of social inequality in bringing about social change and equitable higher education. It will feature four contributions from Australia, Sweden, Egypt, and Germany examining programs for supporting social entrepreneurial scholar-practitioners, the implementation of gender equality policies, the integration of post-colonial epistemologies, and the merging of sustainability and digital transformation processes.
