Thu, April 21, 9:45 to 11:15am PDT (9:45 to 11:15am PDT), San Diego Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B

Abstract

The educational placement of students with disabilities has varied considerably, including in relation to access to general education environments. This study examined the trends in education placement and factors associated with placement for students with Specific Learning Disability and Other Health Impairment in Local Educational Agencies across California. Results demonstrated a significant variability in educational placement for students with these disability labels and relationships between placement and factors such as percent of students in the Local Educational Agency receiving free or reduced price meals and overall Local Educational Agency enrollment.
