Drawing from 10 interviews and 23 hours of observations, this study examines the contributions, burdens, and benefits of Black enrollment management professionals engaged in yield-recruitment efforts at a selective public flagship campus affected by an affirmative action ban. Findings highlight racialized labor and tensions navigating competing demands at the intersection of their racial identity and professional obligations.
