The purpose of this paper is to discuss how through a Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) project, youth found critical hope, which lent itself to radical healing/justice.By participating in the Día de los Muertos parade, youth were able to find a way to express their voices and channel their frustrations regarding extrajudicial killings of BIPOC youth. Through YPAR, youth find different paths to pursue social action. From conducting research to creating a mural to participating in a parade, these youth utilize their passion for social justice to enact social change.
