This study examined the effects of a career-forward laboratory curriculum on students’ perception of justice, self-efficacy, identity, and commitment. The participants were 201 undergraduate students enrolled in a single semester of chemistry laboratory. The data was collected from two sources, the modified MMRE survey and the Organizational Justice survey. This study used SEM to explore the proposed model which combines Organizational Justice and the MMRE. The results show our initial hypothesized model was accurate and that Organizational Justice has broad impacts on the psychological process variables. The specific relationships in the MMOJRE are different for URM and nonURM students. URM Students’ strongest relationship was between identity and career commitment. They also had a potentially negative relationship between teamwork and commitment.
