E-Learning Through a Global Lens: The Pandemic Disruption and the Education System in Kuwait

Abstract

When the COVID-19 Pandemic hit the globe, schools in Kuwait were not adequately prepared to make a move and shift online while ensuring meaningful learning. This lack of preparedness requires caused a disruption to the education system. Some schools went online and others did some partial remote learning, while others did not continue learning at all. This paper investigates teachers, educators, and parents’ online learning experience during the pandemic. Participants indicated several challenges impacted their learning experience during the pandemic, such as professional training, pedagogical innovations, broadband connection, and technology tools. This study is significant to promote equitable learning experiences at a global scale. The study has an equivalent IRB protocol in the MENA reign.
