This year-long qualitative study investigated how educators working in an alternative school setting are resilient and flourish in their work. Researchers facilitated an intentionally iterative, participatory research process and engaged with participants in a bi-weekly professional learning community focused on how educators experience and promote individual and school community wellbeing. Researchers engaged in iterative coding processes that included both inductive and deductive approaches. The study yielded timely findings critical to the current attrition crisis: 1) an expansion of Nel Noddings’ model of care ethics in education; and 2) the centrality of expanded adult-to-adult care relations, across multiple socio-ecological levels within school systems, to educator resilience. Implications related to prioritizing authentic care relations within schools and districts systems are discussed
