Abstract

Education has faced incredible changes upending traditional approaches to K-12 and higher education. One of the developments has been the tremendous influx of online educational offerings during the Covid pandemic. The time is ripe for online educators who wish to have a role “build [ing] systems that realize the full potential of people and communities” (Nasir, Peele-Eady & Tipton, 2021, p.1). This workshop will utilize Alexander’s (2017) framework to engage participants in designing research paradigms and courses that recognize legacies and progenies characterizing educational psychology. Patricia Alexander, a pioneer in educational psychology, will serve as Chair of this session. Other presenters will include four educational psychologists who have been involved in constructing online courses within different types of university settings.
